The fabric is made of a medium weight navy and white gingham check wool. The skirt obviously used to be a part of a suit however, I do not have the jacket that went with it. There are belt loops at the waist, but no belt. There's a really interesting seam down centerfront from the waist to the hem. The skirt is partially lined. The waist is darted. The skirt has a metal zipper and button closure at centerback. Skirt waist: 28" Hips: 38" (40" might fit, but would be at max) Length from centerback waist to hem: 31" This skirt is in good condition. I cannot find any rips, tears, holes or stains. The inner lining is navy satin and it's a bit discolored in places, but that's on the inside.
