The fabric is made of a medium weight ivory colored suiting fabric. I thing it's a blend of some sort. There are mother of pearl buttons at centerfront. The jacket and skirt are both very structured and fitted like all 40s suits. The jacket is partially lined. The skirt has a metal zipper and button closure at centerback. Bust: 34" Waist: 24" Hips: 38" Length from waist to hem: 31"  This suit is in good condition. I cannot find any rips or tears. There are a few pinholes in the waistband of the skirt. There are also a few, very very light discoloration spots on the front of the skirt. I am fairly certain these will come out with dry cleaning however, they may not. There are several old muslin dry cleaning tags attached to this garment in places as well as the previous owners name writtin in ink on the inside zipper in the skirt. The suit is a light mocha brown color. The front suit lapel and suit sleeve hems/cuffs are scalloped and serged with an ivory colored thread. These may be fixed with professional dry cleaning however, they may not. The jacket also has a bolero type of wrap that zips underneath the jacket collor (it can be worn on the jacket or zipped off).  Every piece is lined. The outfit has really great cut work that's embroidered as well. The fabric is made of a wool knit, I believe. This outfit consists of a top, skirt and jacket. The top zips at centerback and skirt zips at the side (nylon zippers). The skirt and jacket are lined. The top is not. The jacket has really cute floral embroidery on both sides of the front. There is a lighter discoloration spot on the top at the right bust apex area. The inner collar area of the top is discolored as well and I think it just needs a good cleaning. There are also a few, smaller snags in a few places (on the jacket collar, jacket sleeve, as well as the top and skirt).
