THANK YOU! Up for your consideration is a really adorable vintage 50s lil' black cocktail dress, size small. The dress is  made of a medium weight rayon (it's almost like a suiting fabric) fabric. The dress has black chiffon draping at the front neck and a long draped sash of sorts at centerback. There's a metal zipper closure at centerback. The bust is darted and there are pockets at each front side waist. There's a kick pleat at the centerback hem. The measurements are as follows: Bust: 34" Waist: 28" Hips: 38" Length from centerback to hem: 33" This dress is in good condition. I cannot find any rips, stains or tears. Again, it does still have a slight smoke smell even thought I have had it dry cleaned and I paid nearly $10 for the cleaning! It was not a cheaper cleaners. Lastly, this dress used to have rhinestone brooches on the front on either side of the chiffon drape. The cleaners removed the brooches and never replaced them. Now, they cannot find them. So, there are tiny pinholes where the brooches used to be. The fabric is made of a pink cotton. The dress has a pretty large "notched shawl" type of collar. There is soutache trim on the collar (front and back). The dress has short sleeves. There are double breasted buttons at centerfront with a hook and eye at the waist. There are many pleats at the waist and the skirt is fairly full. The following are measurements for the dress only: Bust: 36" Waist: 27" Hips: Open Length from centerback neck to waist and waist to hem: 15"/26" This dress is in good condition. There are no rips, holes or tears. This dress did have some discoloration when I purchased it and I washed it with color safe bleach. The buttons still have some discoloration spots on them (they could be replaced easily). The dress has a bit of a bleach smell to it. Lastly, when I washed the dress, some of the interfacing that was sewn in the seams on the inside came out and is also "balled" up in other places inside the dress. The dress also has a few other smaller discoloration spots in random places on the dress. The belt in the pic is not the original belt to this dress, but I will include it anyway. The fabric is made of a lighter weight (slightly sheer when held up to the light) nylon type fabric. The front bodice has diagonal pintucks. There's a metal zipper and hook and eye closure at centerback. The bust is darted and the skirt is fairly full with rows upon rows of pleats at the waist. Bust: 36", possibly 38" Shoulder to shoulder: 15" Waist: 28" Hips: Free Length from centerback to waist and waist hem: 16"/23.5" This dress is in good condition. The fabric is an orange chiffon crepe that drapes absolutely beautifully! There's a nylon zipper (why I say it's early 60s) and hook & eye closure at centerback. Grossgrain type band at the waist as well as extra chiffon fabric to create more fullness. Bust: 34-36" Waist: 26" Hips: Open Length from top of centerback neck to waist and waist to hem: 14"/27" This dress is in good condition. There are several very tiny, very light spots in a few areas on the skirt however, due to the multiple layers of fabric and they way the fabric drapes, they are only noticeable if you look for them. This dress has "holidays" written all over it (well, not literally). The dress is made of a medium to heavier weight red velvet fabric. Lined in red satin lining and trimmed with red satin rosettes at the back and front. Metal zipper & hook and eye closures at centerback. Centerback is scooped low. 3/4 length sleeves with elbow darts. Fairly full skirt. Bust: 34-36" Waist: 26" Hips: Full Length from top of centerback to waist and waist to hem: 6"/22" Good condition! No rips, holes, stains or tears. The velvet has a bit of a "crushed" appearance in a few places. The upper bodice has two layers of fabric. The under layer is a nude/pink colored acetate lining. The outer fabric is a whitish-ivory tulle trimmed with soutache flowers. The skirt is made of several layers of what appears to be organza silk or something similar to organza. The skirt is extremely sheer and a slip would be a necessity (you can see my crinoline underneath in the photo's). Long sleeves with zippers at each sleeve hem. Metal zipper & hook and eye closure at centerback. Full skirt. Bust: 36" Waist: 28" Hips: Full Length from top of centerback to waist and waist to hem: 17"/28" This dress is in good condition. The soutache trim has come undone in a few places or a little of the ribbon is missing-this is not terribly noticeable-only upon close inspection. No other issues to note. The fabric is made of a light to medium weight gold brocade fabric that has lurex type threads woven in. The dress has short sleeves, a darted bust, piping at the waist, metal zipper and hook and eye closure at centerback and a slit at the centerback hem. The jacket buttons at centerfront and is cropped. Bust: 41-42" Waist: 32" Hips: 44-45" Length from centerback to waist and waist hem: 6.5"/26" This set is in good vintage condition. There are no rips, holes or tears. There is one lighter spot on the upper waist area that measures approx. 1" x 1/2". There are also several other very small, light spots near the hem. You honestly cannot see these spots (or I cannot see these spots) unless you are looking for them. They are difficult to see due the the color of the garment and the busy floral brocade pattern. Lastly, the inner lining on the jacket needs to be cleaned. It has light soiling. The fabric is made of a medium to heavier weight blue velvet fabric. The dress is ruched at the princess seams in the bust area as well as the sleeve hems. The dress has a bit of a faux peplum which looks scalloped and gathered at the waist. There's a side metal zipper closure and a snap at the back neck as well as a keyhole cutout. There are shoulder pads attached at the shoulders as well. This dress has a bit of a dropped waist, although the natural waist is there, the dress looks like it has a dropped waist. The measurements are as follows: Bust: 34" Shoulder to shoulder: 14.5" Waist: 28" Hips:  up to 40" Length from centerback neck to dropped waist and waist to hem: 20"/20" This dress is in good condition. I cannot find any holes, rips or tears. The fabric looks discolored in the light. Since it's velvet, it looks different in all directions. If you hold the dress one way, you can see a brownish hue to the dress. I have not tried to soak or clean this dress and this discoloration may or may not come out with cleaning.  Lastly, the velvet looks "crushed" in places as well. All else is fine!
