They say that clothes make the man (or woman). That may be true, but they also make a statement about the person wearing them. and that statement could be: I’m the life of the party, I have a sarcastic sense of humor, or even “Back Off!” Wearing a funny t-shirt can let you say almost anything, without ever opening your mouth. How can you easily make such a statement? It’s easy, just wear a funny t-shirt!
Use other people’s witty sayings and great ideas to show your sense of humor, or tell the world just what you think. If you are a drinker, you could wear a shirt that says something like, “Irish I were drunk” or “Beer and Cigarettes: BFF”. If you aren’t exactly in love with your job, wear a shirt that says, “When work feels overwhelming, remember that you’re going to die”. Wearing a shirt that has a funny, self-deprecating message on it can make people take notice of you, and it can also be a great way to start a conversation with a person who thinks like you do.
“Couples” humor is really popular right now; with almost any husband or wife joke finding its way onto a t-shirt somewhere. Among the funnier ones I have seen: “According to my Wife, I’m very Happy” or, taking it a bit further, “Yes, I’m the boss of my house and I have my wife’s permission to say so!” Ladies, we haven’t forgotten about you- try these husband jokes on for size! “The Best Way to Get Your Husband to do Something, is to Say That he Can’t”, or, “A bachelor is a man that has missed the opportunity to make some woman miserable!” or, and this one is my favorite: “Women Don’t Make Fools of Men – Most of Them are Do-it-Yourselfers!” Some couples even wear matching shirts, like: “Love May be Blind- But Marriage Has Been A Real Eye-Opener!”
If you’re hitting the local watering hole, or going out for a night with friends, here are some shirts that will tell everyone what’s on your mind. ” Beer- It’s the Reason why I Wake up Every Afternoon!” Or, you can make a statement that your drinking buddies will get a kick out of, with this funny shirt: “Beer is Technically a Vegetarian Meal”. When you know you’ll be hitting the sauce, wear a shirt that says: “Today’s Forecast: 100% chance of Boozing.”
All joking aside, t-shirts can be used to make serious statements too, perhaps for environmental causes. “Just Remember This…. If the World Didn’t Suck, we’d Fall Off!” That tells people that no matter how bad we think our planet is, it’s the only option we’ve got. Send an environmentally savvy message with a t-shirt that shows an unhappy-looking Earth, with a short and to-the point line:”Recycle NOW!” Or, maybe just a picture of Earth and the saying, “Save Something for Me!” A shirt like that says something we all know- we should be taking better care of our planet. After all, it’s the only home we have!
