Nancy Drew may be an amateur sleuth, but she always solves the case, and the case of what to wear is neatly closed when you meet this terrific T-shirt! Out of Print brings you, and your inner lit nerd, this soft blue, cotton knit, fitted tee, featuring the original cover art for “The Sign of the Twisted Candles.” How did Nancy Drew inspire cultural depictions of future female heroines? brand: trousers up
length from shoulder to hem: 24″
sleeve from collar to cuff: 27″
Lovely baby blue handmade vintage top with tiny white polka dots. I believe it is 1940s. It made from a silky cotton fabric. It fastens at the back with clasps and little popper buttons.
Good condition except for the one of the darts are coming apart slightly which could easily be fixed. Where the clasps have rusted a little it has left a yellow mark on the fabric but this is on the inside so it is not noticeable. There is a tiny dot on the back (see pic), not sure if it will come out. Looks great considering how old it is, just needs a bit of TLC.
Would best fit a UK size 10 but please go by measurements.
When laid flat it measures 22 inches across the bust (armpit to armpit). Shoulder to bottom hem is 24 inches.
Politics has surely gone too much hectic these days. Where there were lesser add-ons or accessories to say it in common place words, these days political career requires publicity with the help of a variety of articles. Adding to it, the attire that the politician takes on is also under close observation of the general public and the media as well. People closely observe the moves of the politicians besides his decisions. And, the paparazzi are on constant watch out. The comments on the decisions taken are secure their place on the first or the second page while what the politician wore on a particular occasion is reported as part of the page three stuff besides the comment on whether it was apt to the occasion. It all starts with the general attire to particular wearing ranging from shirt, suit etc. This has made the politicians even more conscious of their attire and besides other shirts, trendy political shirts are in vogue these days and specially designed election shirt have made their entry into the fashion world.
These are more or less the same shirts but these bear a characteristic political look and feel and are formal generally. A politician is recognized by the shirt he wears and soon such shirts becomes his characteristic symbol. The politicizing of shirts began in early 1920s and 1930s when the fascists had used a different color for their shirts. It is said that in Mexico politicians wore golden shirts and some in US wore silver shirts.
Political shirts like the simple shirts are also available in the different sizes, colors and patterns. Shirts with Italian, French collar shapes are generally recognized as political shirts. These shirts also have double and button cuff options. The patterns available on these shirts are solid, stripes and check twill.
